Drawing from Scripture, the sermon contrasts the Old Testament picture of sin being carried away with the New Testament reality that Jesus fully removes sin. Through examples like David’s life, it highlights the misery, lack of fruit, and confusion that come from living in the wilderness, while pointing to the hope, restoration, and freedom found in Christ.
