In this message from Ephesians 5:1–14, Pastor Bob unpacks the Christian life through three simple but transformative practices: put on, put off, and practice. We are called to imitate God by walking in sacrificial love, looking to the cross as our model of compassion, tenderness, and forgiveness. The sermon contrasts these “put-ons” with the behaviors we must “put off,” including impurity, greed, and destructive speech—patterns rooted in the pagan culture of ancient Ephesus and still present in our world today. Pastor Bob reminds believers that sanctification is a lifelong journey empowered by Scripture, the Holy Spirit, and the example of Christ. As children of light, we are invited to walk in goodness, righteousness, and truth, exposing darkness not with judgment, but by shining the hope and restoration found in Jesus.
