In the Greco-Roman world, philosophy was a part of civilization. Regarding death and living beyond the grave, unsaved mankind did not believe the body would rise again. In the Jewish community, Sadducees did not believe in any resurrection. Together, Jews and Gentiles challenged the validity of Jesus rising again. A hoax, a political conspiracy, or grave robbing is what some thought.
But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead.
